When pyro's server was down the other night and I had mine up someone came in, unregistered, and was able to edit parts of the server only admin should have been allowed to do. I did some research and found out that teamspeak has tons of security issues which can allow people to gain access to your pc. I sent pyro an email and told her to shut her server down.
I have setup a new TS2 server on gameservers.com until I can get one of the old POS pc's I have setup with windows and I can run the server off of it. The server doesn't have any users setup at the moment, but its running so when pyro shuts her's down we have one up.
yeah, i thought about it but its not easy to host your own server, from what i have been finding it's more secure, and just a better program...i can change the gameserver to a vent if we want to try it out...
I am stuck at home today (thanks to my car) so I am going to get windows setup on one of those pc's i was talking about and if i can, try to get vent running
the ts thing wasn't a hacker, he just showed us what he could do and said we need to make sure we stay 100% current with the server version...drew and aaron where there when he did it
